Meaningful Work - Stronger Communities

Direct service workers play a crucial role in the lives of many people with disabilities. Health and safety, opportunities for learning, independence, and lifestyle quality are just some of the areas that direct service workers can influence in the lives of the individuals they support. The field of community disability services provides an outstanding opportunity to make valuable contributions in the lives of people with disabilities.

The Foundations in Community Disability Studies Program has been designed for direct service workers who provide community support for people with disabilities. This unique program, offered in traditional and online distance formats, provides the basic knowledge and skills required to be a successful direct service worker.
