F112: Promoting Wellness
Promoting good physical and mental health, identifying various kinds of illness and their complications, and responding to problem situations and emergencies are essential responsibilities for a community disability services worker. You can make your role easier when you develop strong observation and documentation skills and learn about each individual you support, including their medical history. Encouraging a healthy lifestyle, promoting a positive self-image, and creating a supportive environment all contribute to the physical and emotional wellness of the individuals you support.
